About

At the time of first publishing this blog in May 2019, I have a daughter, Georgia about to graduate from high school and two boys, Harrison and Rupert, aged 14 and 11. In the fall Georgia will begin studies in Fashion Design in Paris. And I have decided to move to Paris with all 3 children for an adventure in life and learning, for all of us.

It’s time for a metamorphosis for me. I’m not sure what it will entail but I’m striving to enjoy the ‘not knowing’ that defines life. My children still need guidance, but not constant supervision. I can now look up from my time being focused raising children and flipping homes and discover what comes next.

I studied business at UBC and art and design at Emily Carr, both in Vancouver BC, Canada and worked in advertising before deciding to stay home and raise a family. After a few very difficult years, I was diagnosed with cancer which ground my world to a halt. Having cancer was a life changing experience in humility and continual learning. I’m so grateful and thrilled to say I’m on the other side of that and I’m ready to see what the next chapters of life will bring.

I love to write and learn new things and I’m hugely passionate about the arts. This blog is where I can play with words to share what is inspiring me. And my wish is that it inspires, informs, or at least entertains you too. There are SO many fantastically interesting and creative people producing truly engaging work. From authors and singers, actors and directors, designers and chefs, to traditional media and new media artists, the scope is delightfully overwhelming. I now have some time to discover and enjoy, and learn from and share the many incredible treasures I find along my way.

Here you will find posts on: BOOKS, MOVIES & TV, THEATRE & DANCE, FOOD, WELL-BEING and TRAVEL. I hope you will write to me and share your stories too!
