“Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly.” – Chinese proverb

Those of us who are 40 plus years old find ourselves if we are lucky, being mid-way through our lives. We have all had different journeys arriving thus far. Some of us have been mavens in the business community building empires and legacies. Some of us have been raising children and spending most of our time in the home attempting to keep a family on track. Some of us have been living with a foot in both camps, working both inside and outside the home.

Like so many of us, I have experienced a circuitous route to arriving at this juncture in life. I am a mama, a designer, and a lover of all things real estate. With an equal amount of passion, I am an artist and a writer. And with experience, I am a cancer survivor. It feels like I’ve walked a few years as a caterpillar, and as an introvert, cocooning comes easily. But I feel I’ve found new wings. I’m still figuring out how they work, and these are the chronicles of my attempt to emerge a butterfly…
